This is something of a first for us at Crankhouse. A coffee sourced through the IFINCA platform which provides a fully digital supply chain with a commitment at every step to being traceable and transparent. This coffee comes from three farmers in the Pitalita region of Huila and each path of the supply chain including the farm details, mill, exporter, importer and roaster can be traced through this QR code:

The 3 farms that this Huila selection comes from are:

  • Finca Las Nubes -  Ariel Sanchez
  • FInca La Loma -  Claudia Milena
  • Finca La Joya - Yorleny Sanchez

The town Pitalito is central to coffee trade in Southern Huila. A small town that is strategically situated on the southern end of the Magdalena river valley, separating Colombia’s Eastern and Central mountain ranges. The area is known as the cradle of specialty coffee of Colombia, as many small farmers started focusing on quality and good processes almost 20 years ago.
