It's that time of year again folks when the buds are flowering and the birdies are tweeting which means only one thing; spring is in the air and a perfect time to launch this years Spring Classic Blend.

Creating a blend is not a trivial task and like all things a problem shared is significantly easier. So I enlisted the help of some of Exeters finest Coffee professionals to sip, slurp, spit and swallow their way through some new coffees to come up with this years offering.

There always has to be some desirable outcomes in any blend creation and for the Spring Blend something super sweet with lovely floral aromatics and a decent body was the goal.

This year the blend is made up of the following:

  • 60% Kenya Kirimahiga AA
  • 40% Costa Rica Finca Chayote Natural

Both of these are standout coffees in their own right and together we think we've created something special that surpasses them individually.

I'll sneak this down at the end for those coffee loving cyclists that like me consider the "Spring Classic" races to be some of the best of the season. First up is this weekends Belgium semi-classics;  Omloop Het Nieuwsblad (I know quite a mouthful), and Kuurne-Bruseels-Kuurne. Great racing and the cobbled classics are coming soon.. just imagine racing on this..they'll definitely need a coffee both before and after !
